What Makes SEO in Japan Different?
Japan SEO is Google SEO executed properly for the Japanese language and the Japanese user. Google leads Japanese search, and Yahoo! Japan's web search has run on Google's search technology since 2010, so a single strong Google programme covers the large majority of Japanese search. The genuinely different part is the language: Japanese has no spaces between words, mixes four scripts, and produces query patterns that translated keyword lists miss entirely.
The same concept can be searched in kanji, hiragana, katakana, or romaji, each variant with its own volume and often its own intent. Proper Japanese keyword research maps those variants, validates each against the live SERP, and assigns one primary variant per page.
